The HBN Foundation Turkey Trot Invitational
In November 1992, friends and business associates of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) formed the Turkey Trot Invitational Golf Tournament; one of Atlanta’s oldest and largest non-profit charity golf tournaments. The “Fall Classic” soon became an Atlanta hospitality community tradition with more than 1,600 area businesses and individuals participating as of 2025. It raised more than $1.7 million for local Atlanta charities in its first 20-year history and continues to grow as we approach our 33 anniversary.
An exchange of business cards and introductions soon became a tradition of the Turkey Trot and led to the formation of the “Hospitality Business Network.” In 2012, the Hospitality Business Network Foundation, Inc. was formed as a 501c3 non-profit, tax-exempt, charitable organization comprised of executives and individuals from the public and private sectors of Atlanta’s hospitality industry.
